The British Deer Society is very excited to be taking part in Walk 4 Wildlife, a major event that brings together wildlife charities around the country in an important fundraising effort. Schools across Britain are being invited to take part in an attempt to create the largest sponsored walk ever, while raising funds for their favourite animal charity.
The event is taking place on Friday the 19th of May 2017, so please encourage your friends, children, grandchildren, or in fact anyone who goes to school, to participate – and to pick the British Deer Society as their chosen charity!
It’s open to all schools and who knows – by the summer perhaps you, or someone you know, might be the joint holder of a new world record?
All BDS members are asked to play their part by contacting any primary schools where relatives or friends might be pupils or teachers, asking them not just to take part but to also consider nominating the BDS as their preferred charity for donations. Please can we ask members to write to schools (an email to the head or class teacher is suggested) asking them to take part and nominate the BDS.
