Photographing Deer

TAKING A GOOD PHOTO

It doesn’t matter whether your choice is to use a high end SLR camera with serious lenses, a digital pocket camera or your smartphone, the ability to capture good images can be achieved with all.

You may be surprised, but many of the skills used in deer stalking can also be applied to photographing deer.

In this section, with input from our photography ambassadors, we look at how to capture those magic moments and how to stay safe by following The British Deer Society’s photography code of conduct.
