Family Membership by Direct Debit
Family Membership includes 2 adults (each with full voting rights) and up to 3 children including age 18 in full-time education. All family members must live at the same address. With Family Membership, one adult will be the primary contact who will receive all correspondence. The primary adult will need to provide their full name, address, date of birth and contact details on the application form. Remaining family members are required to provide their full name and date of birth. A Family Membership will receive one copy of the Deer journal.
As a member, your subscription helps support BDS' charitable activities in promoting the welfare of British deer. These include research, campaigning, responding to Government consultations, giving advice and providing training. Membership rates are annual and run for one calendar year from the month of joining.
Field Sports Insurance – Each family member is eligible to purchase worldwide Field Sports Insurance (excl. USA/Canada). This can be purchased for an additional £19 per person per year. Read more about Field Sports Insurance
Direct Debit – Paying by direct debit saves you £10.00. To benefit from this saving you will need to pay by credit card for the first year and set up an annual renewal to be paid by direct debit. Our Membership Secretary, Annie, will contact you upon receipt of this order to arrange the direct debit.
Gift Aid Declaration – Gift Aid raises more funds for the British Deer Society without any additional cost to you. If the primary adult is a UK taxpayer we can reclaim the tax on your membership subscriptions and donations. For every £1 you give we can claim a further 25p from the Inland Revenue. If you would like to help us please select 'Yes' on the form on the right. By confirming that you are a UK taxpayer you agree to BDS claiming tax on all donations you make from today and during the four years prior to this date. If your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income please notify us to cancel this declaration.
Please note: All membership applications are subject to approval by the Board of the British Deer Society.
