Celebrating Our Volunteers Making A Difference For Deer

The British Deer Society is currently celebrating its 60th Anniversary.

Without a doubt, the BDS wouldn’t have become the successful and growing charity it is today without the extensive help and time that has been given to us by many dedicated volunteers over the last 60 years.

The 1st to 7th of June marks Volunteers Week and an opportunity for us to give a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers and to celebrate the amazing contribution they have made, and continue to make, to help us to educate and inspire everyone about deer in their environment.

David McAuley, BDS CEO commented

“As a charity, our ability to speak up for wild deer and to ensure they have a strong future throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland would not be possible without our volunteers.

They turn up rain or shine to support our work and stand firmly behind us as we advocate for the highest standards of deer welfare and management. Time is a precious thing and that they choose to give so much to the BDS and our deer is something that we can never thank them enough for.”
