25th JULY 2024 UPDATE: FORESTRY FUNDING NOW CLOSED
Please note that with the exception of the Instructor Courses and First Aid and Silviculture course categories, all available funding for all other course categories is now fully allocated and no further applications are being accepted for the following course categories: Arboriculture; Chainsaw; Deer Management; Fencing, Hedge Laying, Coppicing, Charcoal and Firewood Processor; Forestry and Woodland, Pesticides; Pest Management and Control; and Plant and Large Machinery.
FORESTRY TRAINING FUND
The Forestry and Arboriculture Training Fund is now open for new applications (England only).
Through this fund you may be eligible to receive funding to cover the costs of your DSC1 or DSC2 training with The British Deer Society (BDS). This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone hoping to enhance their competency and skills in deer management.
Funding for courses is limited and we would encourage you to apply now if interested.
Please note that training must be completed by 31st March 2025.
Funding will not be awarded for training courses that have either been booked or completed prior to a grant award being made.
By choosing the BDS as your training provider you are supporting the UK’s only charity dedicated to wild deer who works to educate and inspire everyone about deer, highlight the importance of evidence-based deer management and champion deer welfare relentlessly.
