NEWS

Members Meeting

Our next member’s meeting will be on the 16th March, with a change of venue. We will meet at Chester-Le-Street Cricket Club, Ropery Lane, Chester-Le-Street.

Our guest speaker will be Oli Smith, CEO of Wildtrack Pro. he will be giving you all his thoughts on Deer management within the UK.

If you are even remotely interested in the future of recreational stalking in the UK or in obtaining some stalking yourself, then this is the ONE event you really cannot afford to miss.

There will be a raffle, as usual, but due to the change of venue (to make it easier for many of you to attend), there is a suggested donation of £5 to help cover the increased cost of the venue and the provision of refreshments.

Date:  16th March 2024
Time: 3 pm to 5 pm
Venue:  Chester-le-Street Cricket Club, Ropery Lane
DH3 3PF, Chester-le-Street, Durham, England, United Kingdom

STALKER MENTORING

Members report that our stalker mentoring scheme is excellent – if you want to join in let me know. And we have three corporate members in the branch, Bill Bryson Library, North Pennines Training and Sandyford Venison, please support them if you can!

Muntjac Monitoring Group

The muntjac monitoring group is now established and operating.  The group’s purpose is to monitor the progress of the species through the branch area by investigating and validating reports of sightings of muntjac deer in the branch area.

The group is led by Ian Smales, supported by branch members Stuart Jones and Neil Baker.

The group has been actively following up reports of muntjac being seen in Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and Durham. So far none of the sightings have been proven to be correct.
